      Description

      This bug tracks implementation of armv8 (64-bit) support in PLCrashReporter, specifically:

      • Implementing arm64 plcrash_async_thread_state_current().
      • Extending the thread state APIs to support 64-bit ARM.
      • Verifying compatibility with the existing stack frame walking mechanisms.
      • Extending the Obj-C symbolication code to work with any ABI changes made for iOS/64-bit.
      • Updating the formatter to include armv8 in the text-based report output.

          Hi - I am using Quincy Kit SDK which uses PLCrashReporter code under the covers.
          Will you be able to share some status/tentative dates for this feature with us?

          I see that this particular issue is blocked by another item (PLCR-498). If you can provide an approx. timing, it will be very helpful.
          Thanks for the great library that makes it so easy to capture crash reports.

          Support was just merged from landonf-PLCR-495-armv8 to master, and will be shipping in a 1.2-beta2 release after some additional review – probably tomorrow.

          Support has been merged to trunk. Additional work to support eh_frame/compact unwind frame walking is tracked in PLCR-499.
